PurQ comes from Nutrafruit, the Australian company behind the Queen Garnet plum. We did not set out to build a supplement brand. We had a plum with a decade of research behind it and a season lasting ten weeks — this was the honest way to make it last the year.
It begins with a plum that ought not to exist.
Queen Garnet was bred by the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries — conventionally, over years, in pursuit of a single trait: anthocyanin density. What emerged is a plum so dark the colour runs to the stone.
Bred for the pigment, not the shelf life.
Most fruit breeding pursues yield, transport and appearance. Queen Garnet was selected for anthocyanin — the compound behind its colour — which is why it looks and tastes unlike the plums beside it.
Conventional breeding, as it has always been done. Nothing genetically modified.
Ten weeks of fruit. Fifty-two weeks of demand.
Queen Garnet fruits for roughly ten weeks a year. For the remainder there is nothing — a poor basis for something meant to be taken daily.
Keeping the whole fruit answered it. Picked at peak ripeness and handled gently, so what the plum grew is what reaches the sachet.
We inherited the science. We did not commission it.
By the time PurQ existed, Queen Garnet had already been the subject of more than a decade of independent study by Australian universities and research institutions.

The plum is the formulation, not the garnish.
Every blend begins with Queen Garnet, joined by ingredients chosen for a particular time of day — prebiotic fibre and a stable probiotic in the morning, calming botanicals in the evening.
No added sugar, no fillers, nothing present merely to bulk it out.
